About the Diwan
Since March 2018, many institutions in Jordan such as the Ifpo CBRL, GJU, and GPIA initiated an event – “Salon” or “Diwan” or “table ronde” – to increase awareness of research on heritage and archaeology in Jordan. It aims to include students to discuss latest developments and themes in archaeology and heritage practice in association with invited specialists. Suggested topics could be cultural heritage, archaeological studies, conservation, documentation, site and museums management, etc.

عن الديوان
منذ مارس 2018، بدأت العديد من المؤسسات في الأردن مثل مجلس الأبحاث البريطانية في بلاد الشام، والجامعة الألمانية الاردنية، المعهد الألماني البروتستانتي للآثار، والمعهد الفرنسي للشرق الادنى بالتعاون لإنشاء أنشطة « الملتقى » أو « الديوان » أو « الطاولة المستديرة » وذلك بهدف زيادة الوعي بالبحوث المتعلقة بالتراث والآثار في الأردن. تتمثل الفكرة، بالاشتراك مع المتخصصين المدعوين، من اجل إشراك الطلاب لمناقشة آخر التطورات والمواضيع في علوم الآثار والتراث. وتشمل الموضوعات المقترحة: التراث الثقافي، الدراسات الأثرية، الحفظ، التوثيق، إدارة المواقع والمتاحف، وما إلى ذلك
